"Deport me? If America won't change its crazy gun laws... I may deport myself"
By Piers Morgan
What I want to know is how come whenever one of these Liberals threatens to leave, they never do? Remember how they were all going to uproot and go to Canada because Bush got re-elected? We all know Liberals talk out the side of their ass - unfortunately none of them ever left town.
Speaking out: Piers Morgan angered 90,000 gun-lovers in the US when he spoke out about gun control
Guess again, Piers; we're closer to about 200 million. I know that number is kind of mind-boggling to a Euro but the fact of the matter is North America is a huge, wild land. There are 330 million Americans, about 30 million Canadians, and God knows how many Mexicans.
Speaking of Mexicans, it was YOUR darling Barack Obama who ran the biggest gun-running operation in history, supplying AK-47 assault rifles to the most lethal criminal drug gangs in the world: Operation Fast & Furious.
If there's going to be a crackdown on so-called "assault weapons", how come the Liberals turn a blind eye to the Obama Administration's activity in distributing these weapons directly to the Mexican drug cartels?
The Mexican drug gangs do not only dwell on the border areas - they are present everywhere Mexican illegals are present in this country. Places like Oakland, California; Fayetteville, North Carolina and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
So the Obama Administration refuses to develop any kind of new, workable policies going forward, and goes to court against the southwestern border states for daring to enforce existing immigration policies. They provide the cartels with assault rifles - over seven hundred of them - and then . . . the Liberals call to disarm the law-abiding citizenry of any capability to defend ourselves against this kind of threat.
Think about it; the right to defend oneself is a fundamental human right. To disarm a free people is to deny them this basic human right, and to ultimately deny them a significant measure of freedom. Ergo, Liberals are against human rights.
Me? I carry. It is my right as a tax-paying, land-owning citizen of the Republic. I have been carrying for almost thirty years now in all of the places I mentioned above - some of the roughest neighborhoods in North America.
You better go home, Piers. This place requires too much raw masculinity for you to deal with.
"Too much Freedom goin' on around here!"

A GREAT WARRIOR PASSES
If there is a person alive in the Western Hemisphere who does not know of General Norman Schwartzkopf, that must be a special kind of cultural ignorance. Stormin' Norman captured the public's imagination in the manner of the great Generals of the past; Westmoreland, MacArthur, Montgomery, yes General Patton even, and HIS mentor General Black Jack Pershing.
This part of being a General falls under General Patton's Maxim "The Leader is an Actor."
General Officers are a unique kind of soldier. I am not normally a big fan of Generals, on account that a General is basically a soldier that has forgotten how to be a soldier, and needs an aide-de-camp to help him put his pants on. Schwartzkopf was an exception. He was the real deal.
Due to timing of his career, Norman Schwartzkopf had the good fortune to command an American Army in the field at the height of US forces's power. The Cold War was essentially over, and Schwartzkopf had at his disposal forces of combined strength and state of readiness never seen since World War II, at least. Considering he led an all-volunteer force of professionals, it could be argued this was the finest military force fielded in modern times.
The First Gulf War was also pivotal in that it allowed US military commanders to put to the test the AirLand Battle Doctrine developed in the late 1970s to counter the Soviet threat on the plains of Europe. Suddenly, Iraq's Soviet-client-state army - one of the largest in the world - was arrayed against them across a vast battlefield as flat as a billiard table. It was a strategist's dream, and once in position, the US and Coalition allies enjoyed almost limitless resources. I'm quite sure that more than a a few eyebrows were raised in the Kremlin after we turned their hardware into scrap metal, in very short order.
The press loved Stormin' Norman because he was a character, and could always be counted on for some classic quotes. During the lead up to Gulf War I, at one of the daily press briefings, a reporter asked, "If you could meet Saddam Hussein, what would you ask him or say?"
"I'd say to Saddam Hussein: 'Get Outta Town!"
I was recently asked, "Do you think Stormin' Norman changed his attitude about Special Operations troops after all the good Scud hunting work done by SF, Delta operators, and SAS?"
No, I don't believe this is so - General Schwartzkopf was a Regular Army officer of the generation when for an officer to go Special Forces was career suicide. Like his peers, Schwartzkopf looked at "those weirdos in their green beanies" with suspicion and disdain.
The Scuds themselves were never a serious threat, despite the damage they wrought. These kind of weapons - when armed with only conventional warheads - represent merely terror weapons; much like the Nazi V-2s after which they were modeled. Even if Saddam had strapped on chemical warheads, the actual bodycounts would have been insignificant from a purely tactical point of view.
Gulf War I was a full-on conventional war of manoever - the epilogue of the long, drawn-out Cold War; the validation of every theory of Clauswitzian military science. Gulf War I was a tanker's wet dream, and the long drawn-out interregnum allowed the tankers to dwell in their perimeters in Kuwait, grease-gun their treaded chariots, break track & tighten bolts, train continually on the future battlefield of the inevitable Gulf War II.
The proof of the pudding was when, on the heels of Special Operations remarkable takedown of the entire country of Afghanistan, it was at last time for Gulf War Redux, there was no way in God's Green Earth the Powers-That-Be at the Pentagon were going to let a pack of beardo weirdos in green beanies do it again. Not in their sandbox. No way, no how.
General Norman Schwarzkopf will go down in history as a clear-thinking commander of historic greatness. He led the winning side in what might possibly be the world's last manoever campaign; the largest tank battle in history. Nothing can take this away from Stormin' Norman, the man who demonstrated George S. Patton's famous maxim: "With perseverance, study, and eternal desire, any man can become great."
Right on, Stormin' Norman - you did well. Catch you later, in that big Drop Zone in the Sky!

ALLOW CONCEALED CARRY
The victims of Sandy Hook.
The following was written after Virginia Tech:
LET'S MAKE AMERICA A 'SAD-FREE ZONE'!
From the attacks of 9/11 to Monday's school shooting, after every mass murder there is an overwhelming urge to "do something" to prevent a similar attack.
But since Adam ate the apple and let evil into the world, deranged individuals have existed.
Most of the time they can't be locked up until it's too late. It's not against the law to be crazy — in some jurisdictions it actually makes you more viable as a candidate for public office.
It's certainly not against the law to be an unsociable loner. If it were, Ralph Nader would be behind bars right now, where he belongs. Mass murder is often the first serious crime unbalanced individuals are caught committing — as appears to be in the case of the Virginia Tech shooter.
Read the rest of it HERE
Arm our teachers - and train them. Or hire armed veterans to guard our schools. But for God's sake do SOMETHING.
Afterthought:
Oh by the way, the other major "Gun-Free Zone" in America is the post office . . .
Gun control enables murderers rather than stopping them . . .

LIBERAL HYPOCRISY ON THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS
"I know the sense of helplessness that people feel. I know the urge to arm yourself because that's what I did. I was trained in firearms. I walked to the hospital when my husband was sick. I carried a concealed weapon and I made the determination if somebody was going to try and take me out, I was going to take them with me."- Senator Diane Feinstein
On April 27, 1995, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) spoke at the US Senate hearing on terrorism shortly after the Oklahoma City bombing.
During the hearing, she referenced her concealed carry permit and how she carried a gun with her in the 1970's, citing the urge to arm yourself for protection- in her case from threats.

YOU MAY NOT LIKE GUNS . . .
You may not like guns, and choose not to own one. That is your right. You might not believe in God. That is your choice. However, if someone breaks into you home the first two things you're going to do are: 1) Call someone with a gun, and 2) Pray they get there in time.
"LAWS THAT FORBID THE CARRYING OF ARMS ...
... DISARM ONLY THOSE WHO ARE NEITHER INCLINED NOR DETERMINED TO COMMIT CRIMES. SUCH LAWS MAKE THINGS WORSE FOR THE ASSAULTED AND BETTER FOR THE ASSAILANTS; THEY SERVE RATHER TO ENCOURAGE THAN PREVENT HOMICIDES, FOR AN UNARMED MAN MAY BE ATTACKED WITH GREATER CONFIDENCE THAN AN ARMED ONE."
Authored by Cesare Beccaria "Essay on Crimes and Punishments", 1764
Quoted by Thomas Jefferson "Legal Commonplace Book", 1767
STOP SCHOOL SHOOTINGS:
Place three armed veterans in every school. There are thousands of well trained unemployed Veterans who would love the job of protecting children.
THE SCHOOL SHOOTING THEY NEVER MENTION:
Pearl High School in Pearl Mississippi, October 1, 1997:
16-year-old student, Luke Woodham, after slitting his mothers throat, showed up at school with a .30-30 rifle and started shooting. Upon hearing the shots, the Principal immediately called 911 seeking help from the Police, as more shots rang out.
Assistant Principal, Joel Myrick, reacted much differently, though. Hearing the shots, he ran to his parked truck and retrieved his own .45 caliber pistol and chased Woodham down, holding him at bay by pointing the loaded weapon right at his face. Woodham stopped his carnage right there.
Assistant Principal Myrick then forced Woodham to the ground and placed his foot on the student shooters neck.
Did the Gun Free Zone stop this nut? Nope.
Did an armed citizen with a .45 pistol? Yep.
Will you ever hear this in the mainstream media? Nope.
"A FREE PEOPLE...
...OUGHT NOT ONLY BE ARMED AND DISCIPLINED, BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE SUFFICIENT ARMS AND AMMUNITION TO MAINTAIN A STATUS OF INDEPENDENCE FROM ANY WHO MIGHT ATTEMPT TO ABUSE THEM, WHICH WOULD INCLUDE THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT." - George Washington"This year will do down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!" - Adolf Hitler - 1935

Then the next day the sun comes up and the Mother Ship hasn't appeared and everybody feels kind of stupid - that is if they didn't mass suicide at the height of the ceremonies.
Somewhere out there is a crazed Green Beret snorting lines of coke off the buttcheeks of Colombian hookers and chasing it down with shots of El Patron Plata. He's going to wake up with a helluva hangover, possibly missing a kidney, and however thousands of dollars he paid for the party lighter in the wallet.
Me? I'm going to the office - there's some paperwork to file for my latest trip, and I'm on standby for the latest madness downrange. I always volunteer for whatever the standby thing is for the holidays - that way it's sure never to happen.

Suzy Favor Hamilton's Candid Talk On Olympics & Life
. . . media personality . . .
. . . swimsuit calendar model . . .
. . . whore:
If you haven't seen it by now, the Smoking Gun has all the juicy details: U.S. Olympian's Secret Life As Las Vegas Escort
A three-time U.S. Olympian whose illustrious running career has included a Nike TV commercial, a swimsuit calendar, and ongoing promotional work for Disney has spent the last year doubling as a $600-an-hour call girl, an astounding secret life that she now regretfully calls a “huge mistake.”
Beginning last December, Suzy Favor Hamilton, 44, has worked with one of Las Vegas’s premier escort services, booking scores of “dates” in Sin City and other U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston.
While Favor Hamilton used an alias, “Kelly Lundy,” when working as an escort, she inexplicably shared her true identity with several male clients, believing that her secret was somehow safe with strangers who paid for her company by leaving envelopes stuffed with cash on bathroom vanities in swanky hotels.
When approached by a reporter earlier this month in the lobby of a Las Vegas hotel, Favor Hamilton initially denied any connection with the escort service, Haley Heston’s Private Collection. But Favor Hamilton - who is married to her college sweetheart, a lawyer, and is the mother of a seven-year-old girl - eventually acknowledged her work as “Kelly"
I'm not making a judgment call here - she's branding herself, by her actions. Now that her little secret's out she's certainly not proud of herself. If I feel anything about this disgraceful situation, I feel sorry for her 7-year-old daughter. Her husband is already worse than a fool; he's a cuckold. He knew about the whole situation, apparently did not approve and begged her to quit The Life. If he stays with her after this, he has no shame, and that will further shame the daughter.
Favor Hamilton described the escort business as “exciting,” an illicit midlife diversion from her routine existence, one in which she operates a successful Madison, Wisconsin real estate brokerage with her husband, delivers motivational speeches, and does promotional work for various businesses and groups, including Disney’s running series and Wisconsin’s Potato & Vegetable Growers Association.
She said that only her husband Mark, 44, was aware of her escort work, but that, “He tried, he tried to get me to stop. He wasn’t supportive of this at all.” The couple lives in a $600,000 Madison home and appears to be in no financial distress based on a review of court and municipal records.
In a July 2012 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel profile, Favor Hamilton spoke of giving about 60 motivational speeches annually, raising her daughter, running her realty firm, and doing appearances for Disney and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series. “I just know I’m happier than I’ve ever been. My life just keeps getting better,” she said.
Well I guess that sounds like she was genuinely enjoying her little hobby.
We've been hit by two huge sex scandals in succession that raise extreme moral dilemmas - the Broadwell/Petraeus thing and now this. So what have we learned?
Well, for one thing, in both cases we see that a woman simply cannot be trusted to keep her mouth shut. At least not a woman with the kind of burning ambition like Suzy Favor here and the Broadwell bird.
Sorry, I have no sympathy here. None. I mean, I'm no Boy Scout, but at least I manage to keep my skeletons in the closet where they belong.
What this whole thing really illustrates is that great quote by the late, great Hunter S. Thompson:
"When the going gets Weird, the Weird turn Pro."

MAKING SENSE OF IT ALL
The airwaves are blanketed with endless wall-to-wall coverage of the school shooting up there in Connecticut, and predictably they come straight to the wrong conclusion. Guns are not responsible for the shooting, any more than spoons are the cause of obesity.
I put out there on Twitter that the solution to school shootings is to arm the teachers. Oh man you should have heard the hue and cry that caused, especially from the Brits and the Aussies. I'd like to point out that the famous UK gun control laws never kept the Irish from getting their hands on guns; military assault rifles, belt-fed machineguns, pistols, you name it the lot.
I have pointed out that arming the teachers is what works in Israel, and it worked in Kenya during the Mau-Mau uprising. A reader pointed out that this probably wouldn't work in the United States, however, because the majority of teachers are pointy-headed politically correct spineless Liberals who can't even control their own emotions; totally unsuited to handling the responsibility of providing armed security.
Fine, I said. The Sheeple are bleating something must be done - so hire more sheepdogs, like me. There are plenty of level-headed ex-military types like myself around who would love to pick up a little extra pay on the side. All you have to do is get the Sheriff's Dept to deputize them and that takes care of all your legal and litigation concerns, and you've got a solution to the situation.
Of course, that makes too much sense, so instead they will continue their drive to disarm the law-abiding citizenry. This is what we get when the Moron Class wins elections.
The best analogy I have heard so far comes from an email to Rush Limbaugh, which he read on his show yesterday:
Dear Rush:
I have not watched a second of news on the school shooting over the weekend, mainly because seeing the reporting makes me cry and unable to do much else. But I'm tuned in enough to know that once again the American leftist culture is forcing us to collectively look at the wrong reasons for the problem, and as such, we will never be able to come to grips with it, much less find a solution. What do all of the public shootings in the last years have in common? They were all done by young white males who were from upper middle-class families. The problem is not guns. That's the easy shiny thing that the liberals flash in front of us so that we don't look at their failed political agenda.
The problem in America today is how we have treated white boys for the last decades, and it all has at its root the unrelenting liberal political agenda. Boys have been pushed out of two of the most important activities: school and sports. In an all-out effort to convince girls they can do anything a boy can, schools have ignored the natural needs and learning traits of boys and forced them to learn like girls. Fewer boys are going to college, in part because they're being pushed out by a feminist agenda in education. We have rushed to dilute the energetic aggressive aspects of the male species by drugging them as children and chickifying them at every turn.
We allowed our young boys to play violent murdering video games. These types of games are the same ones the military uses to train soldiers. But they are being played by very, very young kids in dark rooms all over the country. You want to ban something, ban those. We have overlooked the devastating effects on all children of not having a father in the house. And we have ignored and not helped boys with their mental illness. We've hyperventilated endlessly over girls and their eating disorders, image issues, self-esteem, sex, blah, blah, blah, but we have most totally ignored the mental challenges that boys face.
The above was written by a female listener of the Rush Limbaugh show. I'm putting it out there because I agree wholeheartedly - I despise those military-themed violent video games, and I'm a soldier by profession.
If we are to ban anything, let us restrict the video games which are exactly what this woman calls them out as: military training to produce mass casualties. They have utterly no socially redeeming value whatsoever, they celebrate wanton violence and killing, and the results speak for themselves.

THE NON-TEARS OF A CLOWN
Dry-Eyed Obama Fakes Unseen Tears, Vows Assault Weapons Ban In Code: ‘We’re Going To Take Meaningful Action’
What we are witnessing is a cunning, calculating, cold-hearted pure political operator - "community organizer" - tears cannot well up in his eyes because his mind is racing a hundred miles a minute on how to best exploit this golden opportunity dropped straight into the Democrat's collective lap:
Gun Control
What happened in Sandy Hook was an epic tragedy, but viewed in perspective these mass shootings are hardly an epidemic. To put the template of hard statistics upon them we see that about 200 a year fall victim to this kind of gun violence. But we lose 15,000+ a year to one-on-one gun homicide and this is the true epidemic.
Personally, it would suit me fine if we could collect up all the guns in the world and dump them in the deep blue sea and be done with crime and violence forever. But this is a total pipe dream and is totally unachievable. If every law-abiding gun owner in North America were to disarm, this would result in Chicago homicide rates on a nationwide scale.
The right to self-defense is a fundamental human right. In Bosnia I saw the results of a UN weapons-embargo; the killing became almost one-sided and resulted in horrific genocide-scale killings - unbelievable in post-World War II Europe.
Lets get it straight, people; what we are witnessing is not the result of the presence of weaponry. What we are witnessing is the same thing we saw in the former Yugoslavia in the last decade of the twentieth century; the symptoms of a society in decay.
The solution to gun violence is not to disarm the law abiding citizenry. The solution to school shootings is to arm the teachers - it works in Israel. Unfortunately our teachers are such brainwashed Liberal koolaid drinkers themselves that they will never go for such a thing, and so the killings will continue . . .

ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH
One of the first things I learned when I got to Fort Benning - Home of the Infantry - were these words of wisdom, posted on the wall of the barracks:
"All hands shall be awake, alert and ready for action before dawn. Dawn's when the French and Indians like to attack."
The story about the French & the Indians motto goes W-A-A-A-Y back to before America was a country - I've written about it before. The British were having a war against the French up in Canada. A force of American Rangers was stood up - irregular light infantry - to conduct raids and reconnaissance against the French forces and their Iroquois allies. This organization was called Roger's Rangers after their commanding officer, Major Roger, and they were the first in the direct lineage of today's Ranger and Special Forces regiments.
To this day, Standing Orders, Roger's Rangers are posted on the walls of every US Infantry unit.
Rule Number One: " Don't Forget Nothin' "
There are a few other beauties in there -
#2. Keep your musket clean as a whistle, hatchet sharp and scoured, sixty rounds powder and ball, and be ready to march at a minute’s warning.
#4. Tell the truth about what you see and do. There is an army depending on you for correct information. You can lie all you please when you tell other folks about the Rangers, but never lie to another Ranger or to an officer.
That rule about "Tell the truth about what you see and do." - the way it was explained to me:
"You can say whatever you want to some blonde bimbo in a bar, but never lie to another Green Beret or a Ranger."
Having said that, let me tell you about the biggest institutional lie we've got in the Special Forces:
I went to the Special Forces Underwater Operations school in Key West, Florida. I was a Combat Diver. Our badge was this little US Navy Scuba Diver badge - nothing like the heroic Navy SEAL badge, it is the most humble of all the dive badges - and we were prouder than pigs in sh*t to wear that little thing on our bona fide freedom fighting barrel-chests. The thing really is so goofy it looked like some kind of space suit from a B-grade 1950s science fiction movie:
Now then, there are so very FEW of us Combat Divers in the US Army, that what would happen was INEVITABLY some blonde bimbo would point to it and say, "Excuse me Sergeant, what is that badge?"
And that would open the door for the stock answer: "Army Astronaut Badge, Ma'am!"
Bimbo would go, "R-E-A-L-L-Y-?-?-?"
The Lie continues: "Yep, back in the late Eighties they had this program to put Green Berets and Rangers on the Space Shuttle."
By this time the girls eyes are going B-O-I-N-G out of her eye sockets and that's when you really knew you had her.
"The mission was to man those solar-powered laser cannons and the electro-magnetic pulse rifles they have up there."
The bimbo is totally hooked by now . . . she's going, "OH . . . MY . . . GAWD . . . DID YOU DO THAT?"
At this point to make it TOTALLY believable you'd have to vector off, "Naw. We went thru the training and earned the badge, but they never put the plan into operation; because of the strategic treaty agreements with the Russians you know . . . but this was the part of Reagan's Star Wars strategy that REALLY led to the fall of the Berlin Wall . . . nobody actually knows that to this day - it's Top Secret so don't tell anybody what I just told you . . ."
When they introduced the new Special Operations Combat Diver Badge it looks snazzy with those daggers and sharks but kind of blew it for the Big Army Astronaut Lie.
Some people might say this is not good for the karma. I'd say that's only if you took advantage of the young lady's naïveté . . . and I would NEVER do a thing like that.
The rule is out there:
"You can lie all you please when you tell other folks about the Rangers, but never lie to another Ranger or to an officer."
or more aptly stated:
"You can say whatever you want to some blonde bimbo in a bar, but never lie to another Green Beret or a Ranger."
And of course, it's not really taking advantage, if she really wants to be taken advantage of . . .
In my work there's more than a few of us ex-SFers around - one of them like myself put a lot of time into the organization. Well, the other day I was telling the Door-Gunner-on-the-Space-Shuttle whopper to one of the girls in the office and I kept glancing over to catch my buddy's eye. Was he going to bust me out, or was he going to get in line like a good wingman? Everybody knows your always supposed to cover your buddy's 6, but buddy's only half a word:
Sure enough my buddy starts honking: "DOOR GUNNER on the SPACE SHUTTLE - that's no big deal!"
Inwardly I'm dying here - oh man, he's not going along with it - I'm busted!
Then he continues: "When I was on the HALO Team, we pulled off the world's highest military freefall - sub-space parachute infiltration - but they had to keep it off the official record books because the Air Force broke all kinds of regulations to take us that far up ! ! !"
That's the lie the military freefall guys get to tell the bimbos.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Rebel Video Claims To Show Victims Of Chemical Weapon Attack By Assad Regime
So much for Obama’s “red line.”
Via Times of Israel
Syrian rebels on Saturday uploaded to YouTube a clip purportedly depicting victims of a chemical weapons attack perpetrated by the regime. The video shows Syrian civilians, some apparently dead and others injured, whose faces were disfigured in a manner that could be caused by a chemical agent.
The rebels claim that the video was filmed in a suburb of Aleppo, where the Syrian regime reportedly maintains its largest depot of chemical weapons.
Citing intelligence reports, British Foreign Secretary William Hague on Saturday warned that the Syrian government might use its sizable stockpile of chemical weapons against the rebels fighting to overturn Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime, AFP reported.
“We are extremely concerned about the stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and we are also concerned about evidence during the last couple of weeks that the regime could use them,” Hague said on the sidelines of a regional security conference in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
The London-based Sunday Times reported that Israeli commandos were on the ground in Syria, monitoring the regime’s chemical weapons depots.
“For years we’ve known the exact location of Syria’s chemical and biological munitions,” an Israeli source said was quoted as saying. “But in the past week we’ve got signs that munitions have been moved to new locations.”
On Saturday, the Free Syrian Army announced that it had captured trucks belonging to the regime on the road leading to the Damascus international airport. The rebels claimed that some of the equipment they captured was meant to protect Syrian army soldiers from the effects of chemical weapons.
Very difficult to determine from this video if this is staged (propaganda) or is this the real thing.

WE WATCH FOOTBALL TO SEE THE FOOTBALLERS PLAY FOOTBALL
NBC's Bob Costas Goes On Gun Control Rant About NFL Player's Murder-Suicide
Text follows:
BOB COSTAS: Well, you knew it was coming. In the aftermath of the nearly unfathomable events in Kansas City, that most mindless of sports clichés was heard yet again: Something like this really puts it all in perspective. Well, if so, that sort of perspective has a very short shelf-life since we will inevitably hear about the perspective we have supposedly again regained the next time ugly reality intrudes upon our games. Please, those who need tragedies to continually recalibrate their sense of proportion about sports would seem to have little hope of ever truly achieving perspective. You want some actual perspective on this? Well, a bit of it comes from the Kansas City-based writer Jason Whitlock with whom I do not always agree, but who today said it so well that we may as well just quote or paraphrase from the end of his article.
"Our current gun culture," Whitlock wrote, "ensures that more and more domestic disputes will end in the ultimate tragedy and that more convenience-store confrontations over loud music coming from a car will leave more teenage boys bloodied and dead."
"Handguns do not enhance our safety. They exacerbate our flaws, tempt us to escalate arguments, and bait us into embracing confrontation rather than avoiding it. In the coming days, Jovan Belcher’s actions, and their possible connection to football will be analyzed. Who knows?"
"But here," wrote Jason Whitlock," is what I believe. If Jovan Belcher didn’t possess a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today."
Oh yeah, Bob? You Liberals sure like living in the Land of If, so lets take your liberal kool-aid drinking logic and run with it here:
If Jovan Belcher didn’t possess a gun, he could have wrung Kasandra Perkins neck with his bare hands, and beat her to a pulp.
If Jovan Belcher didn’t possess a gun, he could have stabbed Kasandra Perkins multiple times like O.J., or beat her to death with a baseball bat.
or how about:
If Kasandra Perkins had a gun, she'd still be alive today.
The gun didn't kill Kasandra Perkins any more than the hammer built the house. The gun is a tool and it did exactly what it is designed to do. What killed Kasandra Perkins was a worthless excuse for a human being who could not control his passions and so we got what we got the other day.
What kind of a person was Jovan Belcher? What kind of character development - or lack thereof - did he have in his upbringing? What led to this total breakdown?
We've all had bad days, we've all been under stress, anxiety and pressure - and every man who's ever lived with a woman has had to put up with some kind of evil verbal abuse. But we don't all kill our women - if guns caused this kind of behavior, then women would be an endangered species.
I dunno - I have a hard time feeling sorry for the trials and tribulations of an NFL footballer. I was on the Varsity Team for twenty-five years - when I was 45 I was still on an Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha, still rolling through the desert in the back of a truck on the M249B, still humping the monster ruck, still lifting 200-round cans of .50 cal up into the back of the truck - AND my domestic life suffered through long deployments, stress and anxiety, and the pay was a fraction of what professional footballers get.
The past five years haven't been exactly a bowl full of cherries either, come to think of it. Somehow my wife - and the wives of millions of other gun owners - survived.
Riddle me this; if one G.I. kills his wife, the media starts honnking on 24/7 about how we're all Rambo, we're all ticking time bombs waiting to go off; but somehow that theme eludes us here. Instead we have The Worlds Greatest Forensic Psychologist and Bullshit Artist Bob Costas explaining to us that people don't kill people; guns kill people.
Right, uh huh. Somebody explain that to Nicole Brown Simpson.
We go to the Circus to see the Dancing Bear. When the Bear stops dancing, gets up on a soapbox and starts talking politics, it's like; "Hey, Bear! Shut up and dance!"

THEY'VE GOT THE GUNS
Check out THESE guys:
I saw them last night on the National Geographic Channel: Family Guns - A Family Business Father and son run one of the largest antique gun suppliers in the world, based out of New Jersey.
They have an incredible collection of every kind of miiltary firearm imaginable, going right back to the British Brown Bess muskets that carved out the Empire (and lost the Revolution). If you have a chance to catch the show, look at it; they even fired a repeating Hotchkiss four-inch gun. Awesome.
So I decided it's time to get serious about my militaria collection; zipped over to their site, opened an account and picked up a sixteen-inch sword bayonet & scabbard for my Garand.
New Jersey, of all places. That's just across the river from where I am these days. I'm going to have to go pay them a visit.

JAILED SAS SNIPER WALKS FREE
Sergeant Danny Nightengale thanks the "great British public" after winning appeal
We were all pulling for you over here Danny - S.L.
Jailed SAS sniper Danny Nightingale walked free after his 18 month sentence was suspended following a successful appeal. Earlier this month after he admitted illegally possessing a Glock 9mm pistol and more than 300 rounds of ammunition.
Judges at the Court Martial Appeal Court in London have cut the term to 12 months and said it should be suspended. They said he could be released immediately.
Outside the court, 37-year-old Sgt Nightingale thanked his wife and backers for their "trust and support". He also thanked the "great British public" and said he was "humbled" by the reaction to his plight.
His wife Sally, 38, said she was "very, very happy" and "delighted".
Mrs Nightingale, who earlier wept at the judges' verdict, said: "We fought for this for the last three weeks and we got justice today and I thank everybody in that court and the public."
I'm guessing we have not heard the last of Sergeant Danny Nightengale, and I would not be surprised in the least if I encounter him in my journeys across the Pond. Godspeed, Sergeant Nightengale . . .

FINALLY SOME GOOD NEWS
Anonymous Hacker Looking at 30 Years to Life
Jeremy Hammond
According to the indictment filed in March, Hammond illegally obtained credit card information stolen from Stratfor and uploaded it to a server that was unbeknownst to him maintained by the federal government. Months earlier the FBI had arrested Hector Xavier Monsegur, a New York hacker who spearheaded LulzSec under the alias “Sabu,” and relied on from thereon out to help the authorities nab other individuals affiliated with Anonymous and LulzSec. The feds say Hammond openly admitted to compromising Stratfor’s data in online chats with their informant and unsealed a three count indictment against him relating to hacking back in March.
Comment: This dirtbag is the face of sociopath misfits who cause so much wanton chaos & destruction to military, government and business security operations, costing private citizens in anti-virus software, overhead to financial services and in the end more to our tax burden. I hope they go after and round up all these miscreants, lock them up and throw away the keys. Or better yet, send them to Guantanamo and let them hang out with their partners-in-crime the terrorists because thats what they are when you really get down to it. First order of business is get this piece of crap a haircut and have him deloused; then move on the rest of the worthless ones with too much time on their hands.

THE HONEY TRAP
British Scientist Gets Five Years in Agentina Jail in 'Honey Trap' Drug Smuggling Case
This poor guy courted Ms. Milani for almost 3 months online, only to have his dreams of a heavenly breast-filled retirement come crashing down, and hard.
Now he's looking at five years in one of Argentina's toughest jails.
Video and more photos at: Professor Paul Frampton Convicted in Denise Milani 'Honey Trap' Case
A beautiful big-breasted woman will get you every time.
Amazing how a scientist could get sucked into such a honey trap.
Understandable, though, to become mesmerized by a rack of that size.
Sheesh.
Professional Comment: This is an angle on cyber scams that I warn my clients against. In this situation, it's a combination of the classic honey trap, virtual kidnapping and tiger kidnapping;
They lured him with a beautiful woman, of course - the Honey Trap. I always tell them; if you're in a bar or a hotel lobby, and you suddenly become the object of fascination to the most beautiful woman you have ever seen in your life - ALARM BELLS SHOULD BE RINGING IN YOUR HEAD ! ! !
This guy's lucky he didn't wake up in a hotel room missing a kidney, because that's one of the latest angles they're using beautiful women for as bait down south. A kidney will get you up to 25K on the black market.
"Virtual Kidnapping" is where you get an email or a phone call saying they got your husband / wife / son / daughter - whatever - send money. In reality it's a scam - your loved one isn't even there, and you're sending money to a bunch of scam artists. The key thing is to ask a proof of life question, like, "Ask my (loved one) where we went for vacation last year?"
Tiger kidnapping is where they hold a loved one and make you do a crime - often involving transporting drugs.
In this case, they lured the sucker down there with the Denise Milani bait - he had to be an absolute IDIOT to fall for that. Then, they met him at the other end; no babe but here, take this suitcase to her in Argentina - this is where he CONFIRMED he's an idiot. Total lack of situational awareness at every stage of the game.

Obama Youth Brigade Hand Gesture:
From the history books, it turns out that the "Sign of Progress" was borrowed from none other than Adolf Hitler himself. This was found at German Propaganda Archive; the photo is described on that site:
"The hands of the Führer organize his speech. This picture captures Hitler's hands as he speaks of the unity of the National Socialist and socialist ideas."
Nice work, sheeple. You got played.

THE JAILING OF A HERO
SAS Sergeant Danny Nightingale has been jailed for possessing a “war trophy” pistol presented to him by the Iraqi Army for outstanding service.
Sgt Danny Nightingale is a British Special Forces sniper who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was sentenced to 18 months in military detention by a court martial, the week before Remembrance Sunday (11 November - Veterans Day here in the US).
Nightingale's sentence was described as the “betrayal of a war hero”, At his court martial, even the prosecution described him as a serviceman of exemplary character, who had served his country for 17 years, 11 in the special forces.
The court was told that he returned to Britain in a hurry after two friends were killed in Iraq, leaving his equipment — including the pistol — to be packed up by colleagues.
The soldier’s former commanding officer and politicians have called for the sentence to be overturned.
Lt Col Richard Williams, Sgt Nightingale’s commanding officer in Iraq, said the sentence “clearly needed to be overturned immediately”.
He said: “His military career has been ruined and his wife and children face being evicted from their home — this is a total betrayal of a man who dedicated his life to the service of his country.”
Patrick Mercer, the Conservative MP for Newark and a former infantry officer, said he planned to take up the case with the Defence Secretary. Simon McKay, Sgt Nightingale’s lawyer, said: “On Remembrance Sunday, when the nation remembers its war heroes, my client — one of their number — is in a prison cell.
"I consider the sentence to be excessive and the basis of the guilty plea unsafe. It is a gross miscarriage of justice and grounds of appeal are already being prepared.”

In His Own Words
In a moving letter to his wife, Sgt Danny Nightingale tells of his disbelief at being imprisoned by the country to which he dedicated his life to serving.
In the letter to his wife Sally, Sgt Nightingale writes: “I have often written to you from wherever I have served but never thought I’d be writing to you from prison let alone one in England.
“I was prepared for anything when I went on operations. I knew that there was always the chance that I might say goodbye and not return. It comes with the job and I accepted that.
“But of all of the things I thought might happen, I never expected to be locked away by the country I’ve dedicated my life to serving.”
This was sent in from a fellow veteran. The UK and the great Commonwealth Nations are our closest allies and our greatest friends in the world, and the SAS has been through thick and thin with us. Now one of their guys who risked it all when our nation asked, is being hung up to dry for a rule that most Americans - especially those of who hold the Second Amendment near & dear - will find sickening.
Danny Nightingale is getting an appeal next week but there are no guarantees. When I see this taken to one of our own - including the Brits - I want to see that justice prevails.
Spread the word far & wide . . .

THE EXPLOITATION OF DAVID PETRAEUS
Now that the dust has settled on the Petraeus thing, let us revisit.
Bottom Line Up Front: The Petraeus Affair is part of the Obama Administration's cover of the whole Benghazi mess - that one of our overseas missions was attacked by al Qaeda on the anniversary of 9/11, and that rescue forces were ordered to stand down in order to avoid a failed operation ala Carter's hostage rescue. Such a disaster could have cost Obama the Presidency.
Hence the pervasive myth of the attack being a mob infuriated by an anti-Muslim video posted on YouTube. We know from the timeline of events in Benghazi on September 11th that this is not so.
Incredibly, the main point of this entire affair still eludes our self-appointed Keepers of Conventional Wisdom out there in the mainstream media, and that is:
WHY was David Petraeus fired?
Petraeus was not fired for an extramarital affair. Consider; by the Democrats' own standards, there is nothing wrong about an older man in a position of power and influence having an affair with a younger, starry eyed woman.
Why ruin a good man's career over something as irrelevant as getting a little on the side? In '98, the Democrats and their willing minions in the press even went so far as to claim that lying to cover oneself over such an event - to the point of committing perjury under oath in a court of law - was okay, that it happens all the time, that in fact telling such lies are good for everybody concerned.
So why was Petraeus fired? More to the point - why was he not fired when it first became apparent that the Director of the CIA was having an affair and that his mistress may have gained access to classified material?
I have offered a timeline - as best as we know it - HERE. A summary follows:
According to Petraeus friend Colonel Steve Boylan, the affair with Paula Broadwell began in November 2011. This is significant, because it clears Petraeus of any possible violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
Personally, it doesn't bother me that General Petraeus was getting some on the side - I'm no Boy Scout. The only issue I have is the concept that Petraeus might have been banging this Broadwell bird - somebody else's wife by the way - while he was supposed to be leading troops in theater, in Afghanistan. That would not only have been illegal, but extrememly disgraceful.
Colonel Boylan's convenient revelation is what buddies are for in the military; to help cover your ass when you step on your dick. Thanks, Steve - you're a good wingman!
Then, in May of 2012, Tampa socialite Jill Kelley notifies a friend in the FBI that she's been receiving harassing emails, and a formal FBI investigation begins soon after.
(The fact that Jill Kelley's FBI friend was a guy who shared shirtless photos of himself with Dr. Kelley's wife is just another juicy morsel on the side of this whole thing, and is essentially irrelevant. Also, the 20-30k worth of naughty emails General Allen shared with Jill Kelley is also irrelevant; simply more dirt to muddy the waters.)
Sometime in the summer of 2012 the FBI determined that the email trail leads to Broadwell. The investigation reveals a private Gmail account using an alias that belongs to Petraeus, and agents believe the two are having an affair. FBI Director Robert Mueller is notified. At some point during the investigation, the FBI interviews Petraeus and Broadwell.
In July of 2012 we are to believe that the affair between Petraeus and Broadwell came to an end; this according to Petraeus' friend Boylan. Again, this is irrelevant. However, we are told that Attorney General Eric Holder was not notified until late summer 2012. The official timeline offered by the Obama Administration is that the President was not informed until after the election, and that Petraeus submitted his resignation letter shortly thereafter.
This is where I have a problem with the official line of crap we're being fed, and this is where things get sinister.
We are expected to believe that the Director of Central Intelligence was being investigated by the FBI over an affair - with concern over possible leak of classified material or the potential for blackmail of the nations' highest intelligence officer - and the President of the United States was NOT informed?
Let me ask another question: is the word "STUPID" written across my forehead?
Sorry, I'm not buying it. Of course Obama knew about the affair. Such a potentially damaging issue at the height of the campaign was absolutely radioactive, and as such had to be managed with extreme care.
So they covered for Petraeus, let him stay in place for two reasons: A) potential fallout from the scandal could cost Obama the election, and B) now they had something to hold over the head of the Director of the CIA - this is the way Team Obama conducts business.
Then Benghazi happened. We now know what occurred on the night of September 11th, and we also know that the story of Muslim mobs enraged by a YouTube video was a complete fabrication. It is not exactly clear who exactly cooked up this myth, but this is also irrelevant. The way everybody from the President of the United States on down was parroting this bizarre talking point makes it obvious to me that this cover story was propagated from the very top.
Essentially; the President of the United States masked from the American people a lethal terrorist attack on one of our overseas missions. Furthermore, somebody from within the National Command Authority - that is, either the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary of Defense or the Deputy Secretary of Defense - ordered rescue forces to stand down from responding to the attack on the consulate.
It was necessary to hide the truth about Benghazi from the American people, because Obama had made so much political capital from the killing of Bin Laden. A lethal al Qaeda attack on a US target overseas threatened his re-election chances, and so the lies.
General Petraeus himself participated in this cover-up, when he gave “misleading” testimony on 14 September to the House Intelligence Committee on. In that session, Petraeus pointed to a protest over an anti-Islam YouTube video as a primary reason for the attacks on the US facilities in Benghazi, despite an abundance of intelligence pointing to a preplanned terrorist assault on the US consulate and CIA annex there.
Once Obama's re-election was was in the bag, however, uncomfortable questions remained about the events in Benghazi. And so now the Petraeus Affair becomes a convenient red herring to throw out there. Something as big and juicy as that was enough to suck all the oxygen out of the Benghazi story, and so it was time to play that card, throw it out there on the table.
The tale of the General and his hot mistress is made-for-supermarket-tabloids material on steroids. And the Democrats get two for the price of one; not only is this an effective smokescreen to the mess that is Benghazi, but this also takes a very charismatic and respected Republican out of the field of potential candidates for 2016.
The actions of Obama & Co are disgraceful enough, but we expect this kind of behavior of them. This is what they are, this is the Chicago Way.
Petraeus? To me his biggest crime is being stupid enough to think that, as Director of the CIA, an electronic email trail could possibly remain uncovered. General Petraeus was obviously doing all his thinking with his little head, when he should have been thinking with his big head.
To me the greatest travesty is being perpetrated by the Left-leaning Mainstream Media; the Benghazi cover-up is potentially a far greater crime than Watergate ever was, and this time the media is a willing participant in the cover-up. Obama plays them like a Stradivarius, and they wittingly pounced on Petraeus and served him up as raw meat for the masses.
There you have it, people; the total exploitation of General Petraeus.
