Now I am the grandfather and am passing on what I can.<br />An excellent reference source is <a href="www.animatedknots.com" rel="nofollow">Animated Knots</a>.<br />I am presently teaching splicing to a few people as well.<br />My biggest problem is the modern nylon type of rope is rubbish for a lot of knots and splices, but often it is all that can be obtained.
