I bought a pair and while, granted am very new to them, they are extremely well made, very comfortable (only an initial evaluation), and seem a pretty darn good deal for the money. The HAIX USA folks are extremely friendly and helpful.d30gaijinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03944543519654371788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6340335897594941637.post-54806789617149123032014-01-07T16:48:20.830+00:002014-01-07T16:48:20.830+00:00I had some Army issue Mountain boots at Ft. Greely and some issue jungle boots at Ceredo WV, with the 19th.
The guys at Greely & NWTC wore them a lot and Mickey Mouse boots too: and the guys in CRTC liked both types.
There in a nutshell, is my acquaintance with anything other than cannon-cocker GI issue.
I can never seem to afford anything except Pay Less: life has really taken a dive on me, in the last 20 years or so.
But I get by, I am wearing a nice set of sandals that I bought at a thrift store. Would you expect them to provide enough support for a total load approaching 300# (me & the ruck)? Mostly me + 50-60# ruck.

A mention was made of fleece lining; are they actually lined with layer of fleece, or a very thin layer of fleece-like material?

I did read the main site for details, but could not find anything specific to the questions above.

These certainly fall within an affordable price range, and seem to offer similar features as the higher end Lowa boots I had been considering.

Any first hand comments would be appreciated sir.

Thank you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
