In that version, the tank was commanded by Lt. Will Rogers, Jr., whose tank had gotten separated from his unit in the filing. He had started picking up other stragglers along the way when he found the single paratrooper. In response to the paratrooper, he said,' "You heard the man," declared Rogers.
