REMEMBRANCE DAY

Today is November 11th - Veteran's Day in the United States, Remembrance Day in Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and throughout the Commonwealth Nations.

This date originally commemorates Armistice Day - "The Eleventh Hour of the Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month" of the year 1918 - when the Allies and Germany and Austria agreed to cease fire and end "The War to End All Wars."





They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.
