A .45 caliber round makes a pretty big hole, I can imagine how the conversation went:
"Check out my new .45, it has a really great trigger pull . . ."
" . . . Nice squeeze . . ."
BANG!!!!
". . . OH Sh*T ! ! ! !" ....Ouch!
LORDY . . . LORDY . . . LORDY . . .
OH how that would hurt . . .
OH WELL . . . off to Walmart for some new shoes . . .
. . . and while I'm at it a book on how to handle handguns . . .

Why are those photos taken in a living room instead of an ER?
ReplyDeleteCuz you're legally supposed to report gun injuries.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he had a reason not to...
...one that was worth a toe, I mean.
A little photo analysis reveals A) NO BLOOD. That is a big indicator that the final two photos were taken a couple days after the shooting event. You can bleed out of being shot in the foot, and yet these wounds are clean, already in the healing state. This guy's already been to the ER.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it took him a few days to get over the ABJECT SHAME of actually shooting himself in the foot.
ReplyDeleteWow....Im at a loss.. That thing looks like its going to need some surgical lovin'. Gotta love 45 ACP!
ReplyDeletePhotoshop Job and not even a good one.
ReplyDeleteFirst off the blood would not make that kind of pattern and the person would have removed the shoe right off. If there was enough blood to seep upward then there should be some showing as drips inside as the person removed the shoe.
Notice the placement so that you can see the top of the sofa through the hole. I don't think that was just by chance, viewing the sofa
through the hole helps increase the possibility that the picture will be accepted as real.
Finally notice that the hole is in the wrong spot, Hole is to close to center and to far back towards the leg.
If the person wants to fool someone with a photoshoped picture he needs more practice!
The photo of the shoe was taken after the fact. Who's going to take a picture as it happens. It makes sense he took it after he sought medical assistance. As for the placement, this is irrelevant. As I happen to work in the E.R. I can assure accidental shooting are almost a daily occurrence. This is as real as it gets. Even, the bone is slightly visible as well as connective tissue.
DeletePeople send me all kinds of stuff, I don't know the origin of this or whether or not it's legit. I looked at the boot again, looked the foot; I say it's legit . . .
ReplyDeleteIt was on accurate reloading humour forum a while back. As I recall it was claimed legitimate but I'm too lazy to research it, just remember the images.
ReplyDeleteI had one of my guys pull a classic in bayonet training. We had no stands so it just sand bags on the ground and it was wet.
ReplyDeleteMy instructions were subtle, run up to the bag, DO NOT stamp on the bag, stab the bag, move to the next bag. DO NOT stab yourself in the foot.
Infantry, so hard to get them to follow simple instructions some days. Alwaysd enjoy calling peoples mother and saying the good news is he's ok. Unfortunately he's a bloody idiot and there's no hope for him.
I saw this series of photos a few months ago. They were supposedly of a Sporting Clays Shooter resting his 12 Gauge on his foot. A common practice at many Ranges for Shotgun Shooters. The action of the Gun is supposed to be open and the Gun unloaded. Apparently this was not the case in this instance.
ReplyDeleteIts done the rounds over here last year, it was allegedly an accident with a 20 bore shotgun on the clay range when resting the muzzle on his shoe!
ReplyDeleteANYTIME YOU CAN SEE "BONE" IT'S AWESOME..I LOVED THE STORY AND THE COMMENTS..."ALWAYS POINT FIREARMS IN A SAFE DIRECTION" EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW BETTER, THERE WAS A MURDER IN LOS ANGELES WHERE THE VICTIM WAS SHOT FIVE TIMES IN THE HEAD WITH A .45CAL, NEEDLESS TO SAY, THEY BASICALLY BURIED A HEADLESS BODY...SSGT R C RENFRO/USMC/RETIRED
ReplyDeletehay no que feo una pregunta esta foto es conjtinuo al balaza o tiempo despues
ReplyDeleteSo dumb because it wouldn't have hit his toe if it showed where it got him on the shoe, it would have been up on the foot more.
ReplyDeletejust put a band aid on it it will be fine and a little dirt
