Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
This guy is in Yemen stirring up a stink:
Report: Radical Imam Detained at JFK Airport in 2002
We're hearing stories of detainees going back to their old habits:
More former Guantanamo detainees returning to militant activity, Pentagon says
A new Pentagon report puts the recidivism rate at 1 in 5 detainees freed from the U.S. prison, up from 14% in the last accounting.
What may be the most unusual manifestation of Stockholm Syndrome ever seen, this cat meets with and apologizes to former detainees :
Guantanamo Guard Reunited with Ex-Inmates
Now juxtapose all of the above, with the following clip:
Yes, I realize not all detainees are terrorist nor will all of them revert to it - but WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT ? ? ?
Special thanks, and respect, to US Navy SeaBee Brent for putting this together for STORMBRINGER
.
We as a Nation are so screwed !!!!!! How in the hell can people, our so called Leaders, betray the American people like this... And to think our Forefathers revolted over a LOT less Bravo Sierra than this....
ReplyDeleteI think you are slightly missing the point.
ReplyDeleteThe guard is merely pointing out the obvious truth that some of the people in Gitmo were 'just like him'. i.e. innocent people who liked the same kind of music he did.
Of course, some are not so innocent and are as you point out going back to terrorism. We wish there was a way of telling them apart, but the old way of doing that is a 'fair trial'.
I do accept that the old adage 'better to let 10 guilty men go free, than 1 innocent man be found guilty' is trickier than it used to be.
After all, a guilty man going free could kill a hundred, whereas an innocent man jailed for murder may still be let out on parole after 15 yrs [of course some will not be let out until they win a pardon if they don't admit guilt].
But a 'lock-up the usual suspects' approach to the terrorists is not going to work.
Hey! War sucks, C'est la Guerre.....he meet some real nice guys in Gitmo. He must have been in the side where the homocidial killer weren't. Then again he was an touchie-feelie Army Reservist. The regular active duty Soldiers and Marines took care of the riff-raff types.
