PLAYING INTO THEIR HANDS

GROUND ZERO KORAN BURNING - 9-11-2010:

Koran burnings are a page right out of the Islamic Extremists playbook - behavior like this is exactly what they want us to do.

THINK ABOUT IT:

The United States military burned Bibles in Afghanistan - nobody over here even batted an eyelid.

In the 20th century, Christians have been persecuted by radical Muslim and Hindu groups and by atheistic states such as the Peoples Republic of China, Cuba and North Korea - where are the headlines?

Taliban drilled holes into the torsos of two 1700 year-old Buddhist statues, placed dynamite charges inside the holes and blew them to smithereens - where are the violent, fist-waving mobs of Buddhists burning Taliban effigies?

For the crime of being a Jew, American journalist Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and beheaded by terrorist Khalid Sheikh Mohammed - for this act the Democrats wish to reward KSM by giving him a show trial in downtown Manhattan.

As of 2010 (source: Open Doors UK) an estimated 100 million Christians face persecution, particularly in the Muslim world, North Korea and the hands of Hindu extremism and Islamic terrorism in India, with a rising tendency - not a word from the Mainstream Media

In the Gaza Strip, rampaging Hamas jihadists stormed churches using rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) burned every Bible and destroyed every cross they could get their hands on - you have to do a Google search to learn of this - and the Obama Administration gives these people 30 billion dollars of foreign aid.

BUT . . .

. . . some knucklehead cracker Bible-thumping Holy Roller down in the backwaters of Florida threatens to burn ONE KORAN and you get:

Thousands protest Koran burning plan in Afghan north

This just in; from the same guy who says it's okay for the 9-11 Nineteen Fan Club to build a Terrorist Victory Monument - correction, I mean Islamic Super-Mosque - oops sorry I meant to say Muslim Community Center right down there on Ground Zero:

Obama Says Koran Burning Can Badly Damage U.S. Abroad

Islam MIGHT be the "Religion of Peace", but it sure as Hell isn't the "Religion of TOLERANCE":

Koran-Burning Plan is an Attack on Islam: Reports

HAVING SAID ALL THAT . . .

The reason why burning the Koran, and attacking the Muslim religion in general is a bad idea is twofold. First of all, freedom-loving people do not burn books; Nazis do that:

. . . and secondly, despite this awe-inspiring and righteous motivational poster:

. . . the message it transmits is patently FALSE.

The Crusades were an unmitigated military disaster that went on for the better part of three hundred years. The Crusades were a result of the cultural madness and insanity that was medieval Europe; and more Christians and Jews were killed by Crusaders than Muslims - in fact, the Muslims WON the Crusades - NOT an era of history to be emulated, by any means.

I say this, as a Christian, as an enlightened, civilized person, and as a professional soldier who has seen three religious wars, for what they really are: Northern Ireland, former Yugoslavia, and Israel. If we succumb to the seductive temptation to revert to a religious war, then two things will happen:

A) We will have just played right into THIS guy's hands:

and B) he will have just won . . .

THINK ABOUT IT . . .

Islam is the world's second largest religion after Christianity. According to a 2009 demographic study, Islam has 1.57 billion adherents, making up 23% of the world population:

We can't fight them all.

This is why an all-out religious war plays right into the terrorist enemy's hands. This is EXACTLY what they want. The objective of the Islamic Fundamentalist's worldwide terror campaign is nothing less than ARMEGEDDON.

A better alternative is that we continue to conduct ourselves as open-minded, rational people of logic and compassion; and that the moderate Muslims continue to side with us - think: "Divide and Conquer" - and that ultimately these Muslims become Christians. As fantastic a concept as this may seem, it is well within the realm of possibility, and in fact may already be taking place.

THINK ABOUT IT:

The Apocalypse might be inevitable - but why be in a hurry to fight it on their terms?

  1. Logic says you are correct. Unfortunately, radical Islam - and to a lesser extent normal Islam - is not logical. Or rational. We can not burn the Koran or burn the Koran and their desire to destroy our way of life will not falter.

Note, I am not saying these people should burn the Koran. I would not. But I really like having the right to do so. And the right to do it without being killed in return. Perhaps if our government spent more time saying America is free and we will protect that freedom instead of appeasing these radicals things would be safer for us. I believe so anyway.

Finally, this IS a religious war whether we like it or not, because that is what THEY believe.

  2. "WE CAN'T FIGHT THEM ALL"

    BULLSHIT!

WE CAN AND WE CAN WIN

  3. I disagree. We can defeat them and we should. We've catered to these people enough.

  4. Be your impeccable logic, we should never have upset King George and his vast global power structure...

Islam is not a 'religion'. Islam is violent intolerant politics that uses 1% relgious trappings as tiqqya for it's enemies.

Islam is jihad. (it's in the Koran!)
Islam is war to violently dominate. Not a fight we choose; but a fight that has targetted us. Our only choice is between fighting or dhimmitude.

Islam is Jihad. 1400 years of angry violence.
    Ignoring reality is not logical.

    ***

Neville Chamberlaine thought he was being logical, when he thought his enemy's reasoning and goals were the same as his. But illogic was the reality he kept ignoring.
    Appeasing Hitlers never works.

The west has been trying/hoping to avoid confronting islam, yet islam keeps confronting evrything and everyone, in a "ring if fire", for 1400 years.

KKK meetings are no longer welcome. The SS no longer has a Hajj to the Reichstag.
Islam cannot stop itself. So it will be stopped.

We are awakenning to the inevitability of our grim duty. The KKK, SS, islam all made people tremble. Then they were reduced. Yes it was painful. But it was necessary.

Only a crushing erasure of islam will end the violent death cult. The issue will be decided when every islamic city and artifact and mosque is smoking rubble.

Everyone knows it. Most shirk from the duty that history forces us to face. But we must confront it, or be swept aside by it.

    ***

In the long run, western ways are undermining islam. Women get educated. Students protest.
    And they are crushed violently.
    And islam grows.

The long strategy doesn't work against quick ruthless violence.

Only quicker more ruthless violence beats it.

Time to accept the reality that everyone wishes would go away.

  5. Crisply stated by Daniel Greenfield, over at Family Security Matters
""... We do not need to feel guilt for what we have, only guilt for forgetting why we have it. Because generation after generation fought challenges of every sort to win it for us. And if we allow ourselves to forget or to imagine that those challenges were only in the past, we throw away what they fought so hard to gain for us. Not mere wealth, but freedom.

""9/11 was not only a call to arms, but a call to awareness. The awareness that what we have is not free, it must be paid for in generation after generation. There is no final victory and no permanent armistice. As long as human evil endures in the world, so long we must be prepared to fight against it. The latest phase of a very old war has come again. We can be uplifted by the struggle against it, or destroyed by the submission to it. The choice is ours. The consequences of that choice however will follow us across generations and to the end of time."

Well said. (read the whole thing)

  7. At the very least, one must say that Jones's planned act is not mindless. He is performing a certain act, and he has laid out his reasons for performing it. His reasons are that Islam is anti-Christ, anti the West, anti liberty, and anti human decency. His view is that Islam is a danger to everything we cherish and everything we are. By burning a Koran, he is expressing his complete rejection of Islam, and causing other people to think about why he is rejecting Islam. Since I myself believe and have frequently stated that Islam does not belong in the West, how can I condemn a man who is expressing the same idea through a strong symbolic act? An act that is not illegal and is not harming anyone. An act that will force people to think--is Islam the enemy of ourselves and of everything we cherish, or not? Does Islam belong among us, or not?

People are saying that the Koran burning will cause Muslims to kill innocent people. Perhaps it will. But the Danish cartoons caused Muslims to kill innocent people. Islam demands aggressive war against non-Muslims, including the killing of innocents, because from the Muslim point of view there is no such thing as an innocent non-Muslim. The clearest and most frequently repeated message of the Koran, appearing on almost every page, is that all non-Muslims are guilty of the monstrous crime of rejecting Allah and his prophet, and thereby deserve death and eternal torture. Why should we respect such a book? Why should we respect such a religion? Sooner or later, people in the West (and people in the non-Muslim world generally) must come to recognize the nature and teachings of Islam. They can have that recogition sooner, and prevent much violence, or they can have that recognition much later, only after Muslims have gained substantial power over our societies and get in a position to harm anyone who opposes them. My view is: the sooner the truth comes out, the better; the sooner things come to a head, the safer we will be.

  8. Another opinion, from Dr. Candace de Russey writes

    ""America awakens.

""Once again we remember and honor those who perished in the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks. And we stand eternally grateful before those who have sacrificed so much to keep us safe from further attacks and other dangers.

""But something new and extraordinary commingles with commemoration on this ninth anniversary of the attacks. One senses a heightened public understanding of Islam, and in particular its dark – theocratic and jihadist – side. Add to that deep fear that our appeasement-minded political and opinion leaders are causing us to lose the war against Islamic radicals who attack us in the name of their religion and against those in our midst who practice “stealth jihad.”

    [...]

""For twenty years Americans have been slaughtered by Islamists, spilled blood and treasure for Islamic peoples, and accepted the building of thousands of mosques, even though, McCarthy explains, they have been used to violent ends against us. All the while, we have been labeled as intolerant victimizers.

""On 9/11/10 many Americans are indicating they have had enough.

The more we come to know islam, the more we understand 1400 years of "ring of fire" data, and accept that islam is a rabid dog.
It is time to put down the rabid dog, or be destroyed by it.

  9. Sofa, I disagree that because it says it in the Koran, we should therefore declare war on all of Islam. There are many aspects of the Bible which are also not taken literally by the vast majority of Christians or Jews. I think we could in many ways equate Islam today with where the Holy Roman Empire was from the past but that’s another debate for another time perhaps? Point is, “we have evolved from that mindset”. Otherwise, because a fanatical sect within Islam has now exported their interpretation of the Koran, let’s not be the ones who escalate this to a religious world war.
I agree with Sean that this current spate of Koran burning threatens to play directly into Bin Laden's hands. Unfortunately though it looks like it’s going to happen and a few could potentially escalate this situation regardless of how much the majority oppose of it.
What we need is for this worthless President to step into the whole Mosque situation and point out flatly that it is over. The Government should buy the property for its real value or seize it through eminent domain and turn it into a Museum, or something. Then, suggest to these Koran burning idiots that while they can constitutionally do this, they should stand down after taking the Mosque issue away from them. Of course, this wouldn’t be the end of the issue entirely but, it could go a long ways towards defusing this issue I think…..jd

  10. If there *are* moderate Muslims as you suggest, then they should be quite tolerant and understanding of a few individuals exercising their freedom to burn a book on the anniversary of 9-11. But if a harmless symbolic act makes such a difference in their perception of either the West or of Christianity, then I have to question the whole concept of a "moderate Muslim" in the fist place. I can't think of a better test to see what's really in their hearts.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Actually, burning Korans might be a good tactic. It infuriates the enemy, and a furious enemy is likely to make tactical mistakes.

I'm generally not in favor of insulting anybody's religion. But if putting a Koran in Andres Serrano's jar will make Muslim extremists act like pop-up targets, then perhaps we ought to set this up in a free-fire zone in Afghanistan and let the enemy come to US.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Forget about military reasons - what about national reasons?

The mobs in Afghanistan are rent-a-mobs paid by their governments for political purposes and for all we know probably threatened to riot or lose their families. Like some village in Afghanistan has cable TV and knows or cares what's going on in a 50 member church in the Southern U.S.

It's all politics and stunts - and I really don't care what's going on in any other part of the world about their attitude towards us anyways because it's not like the extremists really liked us until yesterday anyways and were happy peachy keen with us.

    We will always have enemies.

Where *I* have a problem with it is there are millions of patriotic American muslims who revere that book as their faith in God and who are as loyal to the constitution as any of us - what about them?

What does this do to the spirit of tolerance and unity in America?

I'd suggest burning an effigy of a terrorist if you're going to burn something. Make it clear that it's not against a religion but an ideology.

Hate isn't an American virtue. Religious persecution and descration aren't American virtues either. Freedom is - and America has a history of standing up for others who cannot stand up for themselves. Unfortunately these acts are not in keeping with American tradition but they are American rights - and I won't, nor should any other American be, dictated to by a mob on the other side of the globe as to what we can and can't do.

It's all smoke and mirrors intended to make its way into the American media and control us.

If we wish to be free - free ourselves from hatred, and do what is right. Sometimes doing what's right requires we stand up and call a liar a liar - like the Hammasque advocate liar imam. Other times it requires us to turn the other cheek and simply be patient.

But America's course shouldn't be dicated by the whims, pretenses and attitudes of others who have not experienced nor achieved our freedom overseas and who do not understand us - we are free and independent and must remain so.

Anything those rent-a-mobs receive about us is a carefully controlled diet of vitriol from this country carefully selected by their dictators to help ensure loyalty and devotion on the part of those less fortunate than us.

What they aren't seeing is the millions of Americans who don't believe in what those idiots did. So - let them burn it. It's their right. And let the rest of us disagree with them over it. But we shouldn't live in fear of mobs on the other side of the world that are shown to us completely out of context just as we are being shown to them out of context.

  13. I don't buy the analysis or the evaluation...

Every kindness and tolerance shown by us is - in their eyes - a sign of weakness. Every failure to respond to evil, in their eyes, a sign of fear. Weakness and fear are provocative. Like hyenas they watch and sniff and pick-off the easy.

AS SOMEONE OFFICIALLY MARKED FOR DEATH BY THE WORDS OF THAT UNHOLY PIECE OF GARBAGE, what, I should be concerned that using their text to roast wienies might upset them? No - but it will make some of them think of the fragility of their belief system. This is no time for kumbaya, brother.

    Got marshmallows?

  14. Good logic and reasoning all.
I am torn on the issue, I want to say FU to islam and their rabid threats of violence. While I think book burning is un American.

I have personally resolved to tell every muslim I meet, that I wish him or her dead, just so they can see what it feels like.

  15. The crusaders didn't have nuclear weapons. We need to mass produce neutron bombs and use them.

    ReplyDelete
  16. "This ain't about Kumbaya, Brother . . . this is about the way I was brought up; to respect others' religion."

I was raised the same way. And I do respect other faiths and religions. I even try to respect Islam, but I have a hard time when many followers of that religion aren't interested in respecting my beliefs and, in fact, expect me to convert to their way of thinking upon pain of death. (And others simply refuse to stop the radicals.)

Unfortunately, this is the way of Islam today. And what we consider respect - not burning a Koran or allowing a Mosque to be built near one of the most sacred sites in our nation - well, they consider weakness and they take full advantage of it.

Maybe I'm just a cynic but frankly I grow more sure each day that this is a no-win situation in that we have two choices - fighting them forever or surrendering.

Neither is good, but if I have to choose I choose to fight.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sorry stormbringer, i too was raisd to have respect for others religions, however, i was raised to have respect for women more.
It didn't matter if it was a hobo, preacher, average joe or the chief of police, if you saw someone mistreat a woman, you took him down. Hard.

I think Italy has the right idea on this one.
    http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/08/italy-no-tax-revenues-to-mosques.html
Islam is NOT a religion, it is a dangerous political cult, & we as americans should denounce it as such.
Take away their standing as a religion, start taxing the crap out of them until they either a) grow the hell up & join the 21st century or b) start the fight that is coming sooner or later anyway if they don't.
I too owe my life too a muslim, however he isn't representive of most.
If the true moderate muslims(& there are far fewer of them than the LSM wants you to believe) want their religion to flourish than it is way past time for them to stand up, denounce the extremists & fight against them as all who value freedom should.

  19. remember we are against the idealogy of this movement. there is good and bad in every religon and society. and more than one have no devide between church and state ie sharia law states and cultures. remember that these states were gaining ground in the earlier 70s as a force keep an eye on. also alot of these muslim groups seem to have not been effected thru these hard times, million dollar projects in california and michigan as well as millions in expansion projects thru out the united states.
by the way there were 4 christans arrested at a muslim event for handing out christian info (like they do at every major or minor event in the USA.) they were not ask to leave they were arrested. (happen in dearborn MI) there is a video of the arrest on the net. It happen jun 23 2010. at what point do our leads step up and stop this from moving in and taking over. where are the leaders when we need them to stand for America. this is the land of the free because of the brave and dont forget that. You mess with the bull enough you will get the horns.

  20. Firstly- taking your map as accurate, the regions of the world populated by Muslims are in general poor, and dependent on the west for technology- so in the event of a universal Muslim v the rest war- they lose. They would lose even if all the Muslim states actually united (vanishingly unlikely) and only three or four nominally Christian powers opposed them- either France or Britain outguns the lot in nuclear weaponry, and the Arabs in particular have a terrible record as soldiers, whilst most of the rest have no record.
However, just because we can win a war does not mean we should fight one, especially when as in this case the cost would be terrible however measured, and we appear to me to be gaining ground anyway.
Given the penalties for apostasy in Muslim states, one suspects that for many their profession of faith is merely a means of staying alive- and quite apart from the conversions to Christianity mentioned in the post you link to (and I have seen other reports on this), there must be a considerable conversion to either atheism or agnosticism not recorded. In short, the Muslim faith is in decline.
Indeed the fervour of the fanatics itself denotes desperation- and their constant use of photoshop and other deception techniques to big up their anger and numbers is further evidence of this.
So- keep calm and carry on.
