I keep a 1 pound British coin in my desk drawer to take with me to the "pub" here in the states. After the pint is served, tap the side of the glass to hear when the fizz has sufficiently cleared. A flat, dull sound means "wait" but when you get a clear pitch, it's ready to drink.
