Police chief killed with rifle lost in ATF gun-tracking program
" . . . suggesting that weapons from the failed gun-tracking operation have now made it into the hands of violent drug cartels deep inside Mexico . . . "
Ya think??
STORMBRINGER SENDS
I don't see how it can be called a "Failed" program. They never set up a method to track any guns and had no plans to stop them any where after sale, so the obvious "plan" was to have the current outcome.
ReplyDeleteJP, you're right about that. they needed a crisis to promote anti-gun legislation and to provide an excuse for cracking down on border area gun shops. the BATs set up straw purchase sting operations (to catch all the Mexican bad guys y'unnerstand) and when things went wrong they bagged the dealers who were acting in good faith. Threw them under the bus to save their own sorry asses.
ReplyDeleteThe penalty for this criminal behavior?; One guy asked to leave the federal government and take a teaching job in Baltimore....
