"2,000 CRIMES recorded per 100,000 population" vs "466 VIOLENT CRIMES per 100,000".
The stats on this meme have been debunked as inaccurate and false.
Britain is infinitely safer than the US as far gun killings are concerned. The UK has an average of c.62 gun homicides per year, whilst the US has between c.8,000 and c.11,000.
When you compare the relative populations, the US rate is between 27x - 32x higher than the UK depending on whose data you use.
Before anyone suggest that we must simply be using things other than guns to kill more people, the UK homicide rate per 100k of the population is 1.2, whilst the US is 4.7 for the last ONODC period.
It's not me saying this for propaganda purposes, these are the facts, and they tell a bleak story.
Can you do one without the expletive, so I can repost? I mean I appreciate your exact sentiment and all, just need a PG version!
