The Liberal geniuses running the Great State of Maryland decided to go to war against guns, so the world's oldest and one of the largest gun manufacturers in the world unbolted their machines from the shop floor and moved to Tennessee . . . S.L.

Beretta USA to Locate New Manufacturing Facility in Sumner County, Tennessee
NASHVILLE – Beretta USA officials along with Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty announced today the company will expand its U.S. operations by building a new firearms manufacturing plant in the Gallatin Industrial Park. Beretta, a global manufacturer of high-quality sporting and military firearms, will invest $45 million in a state-of-the-art manufacturing and R&D facility. Beretta will create 300 new Tennessee jobs. The company is expected to complete construction on the facility this year.
Beretta makes excellent guns; I carried a Beretta professionally for the better part of two decades and I know my way around an M9 as well as I know my way around an M1911. In fact, I'm thinking of investing in another Beretta just to show solidarity with the cause.
Look! They named a pistol after ME: the Beretta PX4 STORM Sub-Compact, available in 9mm x 13 round mag or .40 S&W x 10 rounds.
Come to think of it I do have a requirement for a sub-compact and 9mm is a very useful and utilitarian round. Might get a matched pair - one for me and one for the wife. The kids can inherit our .38 snub-nose revolvers.
Bye-bye Maryland! It was real, and it was nice, but it wasn't real nice!

Beretta was going to move just across the Potomac River but Terry McAuliffe (D, Clinton) got elected governor.
ReplyDeleteSince one plank of his platform was "sensible gun control" Beretta kept moving 'til they got to TN.
Glad for Tenn. Just wish it had been Florida.
