THE LOMBARDI CREDO

The Vince Lombardi Trophy goes back to Green Bay

". . . Leaders are made, they are not born; and they are made just like anything else has been made in this country - by hard effort. And that's the price we all have to pay to achieve that goal or any goal.

". . . And despite of what we say about being born equal, none of us really are born equal, but rather unequal. And yet the talented are no more responsible for their birthright than the underprivileged. And the measure of each should be what each does in a specific situation.

" . . . It is becoming increasingly difficult to be tolerant of a society who has sympathy only for the misfits, only for the maladjusted, only for the criminal, only for the loser. Have sympathy for them, help them, but I think it is also time for all of us to stand up for and to cheer for the doer, the achiever, one who recognizes a problem and does something about it, one who looks at something extra to do for his country, the winner, the leader!"

Coach Vince Lombardi during Super Bowl I, known at the time as “the first AFL-NFL championship game.” The contest ended with a Green Bay victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, 35-10.

SUPERBOWL AIRSPACE CAUTION

Notice Number: NOTC2119

Super Bowl XLIV

On Super Bowl Sunday, as you join with family and friends to cheer on your favorite team, rest assured that our nation's skies are safe and secure, defended by a highly trained team from Continental NORAD Region and First Air Force -- dedicated to preserving our peace and security.

Temporary Flight Restrictions will be in place during Super Bowl XLIV over Land Shark stadium, and CONR fighters may be visible on Sunday, February 7, 2010, while they enforce the FAA's flight-restricted area in downtown Miami.

General Aviation pilots are strongly encouraged to continue to check NOTAMS throughout the weekend.
