"While Sneh is no longer in the Israeli government, his revelation of a drop-dead date for an Israeli military strike on Iran must be taken seriously, Israel-watchers in the U.S. tell Newsmax.

“Ephraim Sneh is a serious guy,” said Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. “He was deputy minister of defense and has long been focused on the issue of Iran.”

Shoshana Bryen, Senior Director for Security Policy at the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), said that what struck her most about Sneh’s comments was the shift of emphasis from resolving the Palestinian problem to Iran.

“For 30 years, he’s been saying that solving the Palestinian problem is Israel’s biggest priority. Now he’s saying, forget about the Palestinians. Iran is the problem.”

Sneh “is extremely well regarded on the left and the right,” she added. “People respect him enormously.”

In his Op-Ed, Sneh argues that the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu needs to mend its bridges with the United States, and the only way to do so is by enacting an immediate and total ban on any settlement activity, including in Jewish neighborhoods in East Jerusalem."

Fault Found in Afghan Outpost's Fall


A U.S. military investigation into how the Taliban overran an outpost last fall in Afghanistan, killing eight soldiers and injuring 22, cited "inadequate measures taken by the Chain of Command."




The three-pronged Taliban attack on Combat Outpost Keating, in the Kamdesh district of Afghanistan's Nuristan province, on October 3 2009, has been trumpeted by the insurgents as a major achievement. Though the attack was repelled after several hours of combat, the U.S. military evacuated and destroyed the outpost, which housed some 60 U.S. troops, three days later. Coalition troops are no longer present in that area, and most of Nuristan has fallen under insurgent control.






The U.S. military had decided to close the outpost by July-August 2009, but delayed the move because of other military operations in a nearby district.

Such a "mindset of imminent closure" prevented the unit from improving the outpost's defenses even as intelligence reports warned of a planned strike by "a large enemy force," Friday's report said. These inadequate defenses, in turn, made Keating "an attractive target" for the Taliban, the report said.


Following the report's conclusion, a summary of which was released Friday, the commander of American forces in Afghanistan, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, has taken "appropriate action" against the officers involved, the U.S. military said. It didn't release the officers' names or specify the nature of the action.

We have had traitors in every war we've ever been in. There are Americans in al Qaeda, of course, American Taliban fighters. The Germans - stupidest people in the world when it comes to politics - have got their own village up there in Durga-DurgaLand.

The village, in Taliban-controlled Waziristan, is run by the notorious al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which plots raids on Nato forces in Afghanistan.

HOW TO QUELL A RIOT

This disturbing story of a minor race riot in Akron, Ohio caught my eye:

It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend's home in South Akron.

Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted "This is our world" and "This is a black world" as they confronted Marshall and his family.

There were about fifty perpetrators, apparently. They said it started when one teen, without any words or warning, blindsided and assaulted Marshall's friend as he stood outside with the others. It quickly developed into a melee involving Marshall's wife, his 15-year-old daughter (all 90 lbs of her), and two of his friends vs. the mob who were jumping, swinging fists and everything.


" . . .I was in fear for my wife, my kids and my friends," Marshall said, "I felt I had to stay out there to protect them . . ."

Of course, this is the natural instinct. You have just spoken the magic words, Mr. Marshall. You were in fear for your wife & kids. Repeat after me: "I was in fear for my life." You are allowed to defend yourself.

" . . . They were trying to take my head off my spine, basically . . . " After several minutes of punches and kicks, the attack ended and the group ran off.

Anybody who has been in any kind of close-quarter battle knows that seconds turn into minutes, a lifetime of events can be shoved into a minute, and several minutes of this kind of combat is an eternity.

"This was almost like being a terrorist act," Marshall said. "And we allow this to go on in our neighborhoods?"

This WAS a terrorist attack, Mr. Marshall, and I'm not hung up on the race thing; we simply must NOT tolerate this kind of uncivilized savagery in our neighborhoods. This is not Britain, or France. Not yet, at least. This begs the question: how long did it take for the police to arrive on the scene? To protect your family, I suggest you arm yourself.

Advice: THIS is how you quell a riot:

In all fairness to Mr. Marshall and his friends, the situation sounds like it went dynamic, fast. Thanks be to God nobody was killed, maimed, raped or otherwise - it could have been a lot worse. The security professional analyzes the situation - After Action Review 'AAR' - to learn from, and plan for, future situations. Here's a suggested battle drill: if & when such a street crime occurs in the future, instead of the wife charging toward the melee, when the horde appears she runs back into the house and returns with the 12-gage shotgun. That first round fired into the ground should be sufficient to get everyone's attention. The muzzle is then leveled midsection of the first rank of would-be rioters.

Note to would-be muggers, thugs, wannabe terrorists and assorted scum & vermin: at Castle STORMBRINGER we keep the 12-gage within easy reach of the door.

Al Qaeda to attack US from Mexico with Bio weapons

U.S. counterterrorism officials have authenticated this video of Kuwaiti dissident and al Qaeda recruiter Abdullah al-Nafisi threatening to smuggle anthrax into the United States via tunnels under the Mexico border.

The video makes clear that al Qaeda is looking to exploit weaknesses in U.S. border security and also is willing to ally itself with white militia groups or other anti-government entities interested in carrying out an attack inside the United States, according to counterterrorism officials interviewed by The Washington Times.
