This weekend we're completing the final phase of the move that started almost six months ago when I pulled up the tent stakes down south in Moore County and moved the family up here above the Mason-Dixon Line . . .
I know, I KNOW - all I've got to say is that if you MUST live above the Mason-Dixon Line, Pennsylvania is the place to live. Good scenery, GREAT people and a vibrant, thriving gun culture that has to be experienced to be fully appreciated . . .
A great time of the year to be moving in, too - it was below freezing all day yesterday, and the forecast calls for freezing rain and snow - good thing we've got all those winters in Germany under our belts and we know how to deal with the cold. There's something to say for a good winter, anyway, and at least over here the winter is over in a prerequisite period of time . . . not like over there in good old Germany where May rolls around and people are asking each other "When will it END ? ? ?"
. . . anyway like a good friend and a Brother pointed out . . . this might not be the South, but a small part of this place will be the Confederacy . . . forever.
Lee's Headquarters, Gettysburg
And so this is a caveat; the thoughts and philosophy that I usually generate over the weekend will probably suffer. The upside is the end is in sight to what's been a hectic year - last six months especially - and this will be reflected in Blog STORMBRINGER.

Yup, gorgeous area (when not covered in white). If you get to this range, say "Hi" to Tony for me. http://conventionalpistol.blogspot.com/2008/08/central-pennsylvania.html
