Do you remember when Kruschev appeared at the UN and banged his shoe on the table? This was his entire quote:

"Your children's children will live under Communism. You Americans are so gullible. No, you won't accept Communism outright; but we'll keep feeding you small doses of Socialism until you finally wake up and find that you already have Communism. We won't have to fight you; WE'LL SO WEAKEN YOUR ECONOMY until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands!"

- Nikita Kruschev, 1959

You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.

At first the wild pigs will look at the fence with suspicion and distrust, but eventually their hungry bellies and the sight of the free corn will overcome their natural instincts. The wild pigs will begin to eat the corn again and soon they will get used to the fence

When this happens you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again.

You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat.

When the time is right, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.

Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, and so they accept their captivity.

This is exactly what I see happening to America. The Federal Government keeps pushing us toward Socialism, keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, disability, Obamacare, etc. We continue to lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.

  1. I believe half of U.S. is already in the pen.

  2. I think I hear the gate closing ...

  3. I think the gate closed when BHO was relected.

  4. I've read that, when liberated, many men in Japanese POW camps had to nearly be dragged out to freedom. They'd been so beaten and traumatized by years of brutal captivity that they had become dulled to any hope of freedom.

Today, those imprisoned by the welfare state are worse off. They do not WANT freedom. Jesse Jackson, in a rare moment of lucidity, said, "You can run to freedom; you can walk to freedom; you can even crawl to freedom. But you cannot stagger to freedom." He referred to being drunk and high, but the principle applies to the effects of the welfare state. People are so high on the drug of getting "free stuff" that they will not value the concept of being a "free person."

  5. The USA is well on the road that most of the Western world has already trodden. Europe has been a socialist cesspool for years and even in your country of birth, the gate has already been hung.

    1. Yep - sad but true. My Uncle Guy says, "Australia is wasted on the Australians." When I had an opportunity to come over here and become a part of the Reagan War Machine, I jumped at it. Since then, the Moron Class - the combined audiences of American Idol & Dancing With The Stars - have taken over, re-elected their Idiot Prince and now "America is wasted on the Americans."
