THOUGHTS ON KORAN BURNING & MUSLIM RAGE

Future Special Forces soldiers are trained in the art & artifices of Unconventional Warfare - a.k.a. "guerilla warfare" - at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center & School. When I went through the "Q" Course, they taught us of training & fighting with of the "indiginous people". We are to establish rapport by living with them, share their hardship, eat whatever is put in front of you - to become initiated into the tribe; the whole Man Called Horse thing - marry a daughter if necessary - whatever it takes, but never, EVER mess with their religion.

I was raised to respect all religions. My family is Christian, but there was a respect and interest of Buddhism in our family. As a child I was taken to the giant Buddha of Kamakura, and to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok.

This sounds like a contradiction, and I certainly can't explain it - to me the point of religion is how to live and conduct oneself and not to get hung up on the first and last books of the Bible; they might as well be written in code.

The Muslims have the same God as us and the Jews. Most Muslims in this world can't read, and of those who can, most of them have only ever read one book. Their religion revolves around this book as an object and a rock in Mecca. Mess with these objects and . . . we all saw what happened last week.

It is disgraceful to disrespect anyone's religion - let us not be confused by the powermongers who use the Muslim religion to control & confound the masses.

Islam has been twisted and contorted - we all see the hate & terrorism - I believe whatever is happening is the pre-curser and birthing pangs of a Reformation, much as Christianity went through centuries ago.

In the meantime, actions like Pastor Terry Jones are as irresponsible as pouring gasoline on a fire. If we allow this thing to descend into a religious war, then Osama bin Laden and the terrorist forces have just won.

Somebody takes me to task for exclaiming my Christianity, while authoring a blog populated with scantily clad and semi-nude women. Well, I've been to St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City in Rome - the dead center of Christendom - and THAT place is INFESTED with statues and paintings of nude men & women. Compared to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, Blog STORMBRINGER has a long way to go just to come up to standard.

  1. If you blame anyone but the scum that carried out this attrocity, you are going to start chipping away at freedom of speech. God knows we are already on a slope that has been greased. Do we really want to end up like Europe, where speaking the truth about Islam gets you hauled into court? No, Pastor whathisname may be ain idiot but he has a god given right to do what he did. And as the old saying goes a right not exercised becomes a privilage.

The amount of agitation which led up to these murders is as disgusting!
