Hokay STORMBRINGERS this one came across the email machine (and some of you might have seen it already) with the following opening lines:

Of course from where I'm operating right now I don't have TV just Internet - (it's a blessing but things will have to change as we get closer to NFL season) - so I don't know if this is true, although the event was covered over a few sources such as the New York Daily News and CNN Online, so it's hardly 'censored' - S.L.

Not one major network sent a satellite truck or camera crew to this event. Without bloggers this newsworthy event would have remained unknown to the public and history

On Sunday, June 6th, a multi-ethnic, multi-racial coalition of Americans opposed to Islamic violence and intolerance rallied at the site of the World Trade Center in New York City .




9/11 families were joined by immigrants from India, Russia, Egypt, Israel, Africa, Iran and Europe to show opposition to the construction of a mega-mosque at Ground Zero. Others flew in from overseas to speak or just to share their particular ethnic communities' experiences at the hands of Muslims.



These are parents and spouses of firefighters killed on 9/11. The rally took place just a minute's walk from Ladder 10 Firehouse, where their loved ones were stationed for duty that terrible day. Ladder 10 lost seven firefighters.



Crowd estimates ranged from 5,000 (NYPD) to 10,000. The crowd overflowed the police barrier enclosures that ran the full length of two city blocks. This photo shows the enclosure in front of the stage at the intersection of Liberty and Church Streets. The second enclosure ran the length of the next block and can be seen on the other side of the traffic lights.



Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller are the founders of STOP ISLAMIZATION OF AMERICA, which sponsored the rally. Ms. Geller is a citizen journalist and blogger who runs the human rights web site Atlas Shrugs. Mr. Spencer is the author of several books on Islam and head of the influential web site Jihad watch.

Pamela Geller:

"Ground Zero is a war memorial, Ground Zero is a burial ground. We are asking for sensitivity. It is unconscionable to build a shrine to the very ideology that inspired the jihadist attacks at Ground Zero, right there. We are asking the imam Rauf and Daisy Khan to be sensitive. For mutual respect and mutual understanding that is demanded of us every day.

There's a hair-trigger sensitivity in the Muslim world, you can't run the cartoons, you can't say Mohammed, this is offensive. This is an offensive mosque. To build a shrine, an Islamic flag of conquest on the sacred ground the cherished site, of a conquered land. This is historic, this is Islamic history. It's what they do. The St. Sofia in Turkey , the al-Quds, at the holiest Jewish site in Israel . Not here. This is where we take a stand. We must take a stand. We must say no.

I do not believe that the landmarks commission controlled by Mayor Bloomberg, is going to stop this mosque. It's not going to happen. Here's Omar Muhamedi, on his human rights council, a CAIR lawyer, who sued the airlines and the Jane and John Does that saw something and said something on those airplanes, if you remember. That's who's on his human rights commission. It ain't gonna happen with Bloomberg. We have to make it happen. You have to get involved."

Port Authority and NYPD officers kept watch over the rally and were well aware of the need for heightened security at this event. One of their own Port Authority officers, WTC Sergeant Alan T. De Vona was on duty at the World Trade Center on 9/11, 2001, and was one of the first to help victims of the terrorist attack. He spoke these words to the SIOA rally:

"It's almost nine years. I'm hoping that America is watching. I'm hoping that America is remembering. Because, make no mistake. September 11 was an act of war. And thank the military that has lost almost 5,000 troops from that day, defending us. I don't know what to say to jar America's memory. I want America to remember."

The issues at stake will certainly affect the heart of American freedom, democracy, cultural values and tolerance. America is a tolerant country that allows for the free worship of all its citizens. But our tolerance has limits. Do we have to tolerate intolerant Islamic ideology and Muslims who preach intolerant Islam?


Hindu human rights activists Narain Kataria, Prasad Yalamanchi and unidentified friend came from Mississippi and Chicago with banners and flyers highlighting the radical statements of imam Rauf and his jihadist roots.

Bhupinder Singh Bhurji, Pamela Geller, and Robert Spencer. Singh Bhurji is the president of the NAMDHARI SIKH FOUNDATION. The foundation is a member of the Human Rights Coalition Against Radical Islam (HRCARI). HRCARI is a coalition of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians from Sudan, Egypt and Iraq, moderate Muslims and Jews - who are victims and targets of radical Islam around the globe. He said, at another rally:

"Radical Islamists are killing people in India , trying to dominate that nation. And here too they come with violence against "infidels." We are "infidels united," standing together, brown, black and white, against this epoch's fascist movement. Radical Islam wants to dominate entire world. They want everyone to surrender. Islam radical or otherwise. They want to put the Islamic flag on White House."


Because of Islamic terrorism, America and the world have seen massive new security measures become a way of life. Anyone openly critical of Islam, or terrorist ideology, must surround themselves with security, or live in hiding. Those courageous enough to confront Islamism are criticized by the cowards and appeasers of the left who seek safety by supporting the enemy. Moderate Muslims were silent when Theo van Gogh was brutally murdered in Amsterdam, just as moderate Muslims in the United States are generally reluctant to speak out against violent Islam. Moderate Muslims also face great danger in speaking out.

Geller and Spencer will press on despite the danger. They hope to inspire Americans to stand up and say enough of political correctness and work to stem the galloping islamization of America and Europe.



Since I prepped this one for the queue I have become aware that - like myself - Pamela Geller is guilty of promoting the British nihilist Pat Condell. I don't know the full background - whether she is operating out of ignorance (like I was) or what. All I know is that her site ATLAS SHRUGS is worthy, and the whole mess of who you back or support sometimes seems so convoluted and confusing sometimes in this era of instant, unlimited information . . . whatever . . . a quick Google search of Pamella Geller led me to THIS piece which is informative, 100% supportive of Israel - and backed by footage - regarding the recent "Humanitarian Aid Flotilla" stunt . . . I am quite certain my new-found friends Naomi Litvin and David Appletree of JIDF will brief me soon enough . . .

HAVING SAID ALL THAT . . . I believe what's important here is the larger issue - the Cordoba Mosque going up right next to Ground Zero. Regular readers of Blog STORMBRINGER are aware that I stand for tolerance and inclusion of all religions . . . BUT that does not include the Dark Side of religion - where it is twisted to promote hate, murder, terrorism and nihilism . . . and despite my belief that we should make room at the table for the 'good' Muslims in the struggle against al Qaeda and radical Fundamentalist Islam, I see the Cordoba Mosque for what it is; a jab in our eye, a 9/11 Victory Monument to the 19 hijackers who executed the terrorist attacks on America . . . PAT CONDELL

Some disturbing information has come my way in the past twelve hours regarding Pat Condell, the British comedian I featured for Saturday morning's post:

I'm not always right and I depend on YOU the STORMBRINGER Underground Auxiliary Force and my extensive personal intelligence network to keep me informed and up-to-date on what's going on around us everywhere, 24-7.

In this case it was David of Galut, Israel who brought to my attention the whole story on Pat Condell. That's his "license plate" to the right there in the coveted BLOG OF THE NANOSECOND box.

Bottom line: Pat Condell is a study in intolerance; the man not only speaks out against radical Islam, he also spouts twisted views on Judaism and Christianity, claiming they are an "insult to humanity", stereotypes all religious Jews, claims scripture and prophesy reflect "insanity", promotes the destruction of Jerusalem, and promotes the idea that Jews should "let go" of Jerusalem.

Basically, Pat Condell is anti-Christian, anti-Israel, and anti-Jewish. This is not the STORMBRINGER way.

For all you anti-Israel trolls out there; remember this truism - "If the Arabs ever decide to lay down their arms, there will be peace in the Middle East. If the Israelis lay down their arms, there will be no more Israel."

Earlier today, it was suggested to me that the reason Christians promote Pat Condell despite knowing his anti-Christian views, is that they hate Islam more than they love Christianity. I responded that as a Christian I don't hate I forgive; I saw the true meaning of the word 'hate' in the former Yugoslavia and I am not capable of that kind of emotion.

I have said it before - most recently here - I am tolerant, and I do not believe we should exclude the good Muslims from our side in the struggle against hate and intolerance. When they called it the "Global War on Terror" it was a misnomer, in that Terror is not the enemy; it is a tactic, nothing more. The enemy are radical Fundamentalist Islamist thugs; and they have killed a thousand times more Muslims than they have Christians.

For if we do allow this to become a religious war, then we are no better than the worst of them, we would have succumbed to their own perverted mindset, this thing will then evolve into a true two-way religious war, and they will win, for that is what they want.

This is a basic tenet of the Philosophy of STORMBRINGER.

Having said that, the entire concept of a 13-story Super Mosque at Ground Zero is about as wrong as two dogs f*cking on the White House lawn, and the best thing we can do about it is pull up a semi-trailer loaded with live hogs up to the front doors of the place and let the swine run hog-wild through there.

FLASHBACK: On May 25, Manhattan’s Community Board One voted 29-1 in favor of the mosque, called the Cordoba Initiative, to be built 600-feet from the North Tower’s foot print at Ground Zero.

The campaign against the construction of a six-story SuperMosque in the vicinity of Ground Zero is big, it is going on right now in New York City in the summer of 2010, and it is being completely ignored by the Left-Leaning Mainstream Media.

The struggle against this insult to our culture, our civilization, and to the lives of the nearly 2,976 victims is a major theme of Blog STORMBRINGER.

Members of TEAM STORMBRINGER send me inspirational stuff, and most of the time I post it. Lately I received some political, anti-Muslim material from a friend who is also a Brother. I won't re-print the entire thing here - elements of it were truthful but I feel the overall message was in the wrong direction - it included this passage:


"Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept 11th, 2001? If they weren't flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East . . .






Palestinian Arabs dancing in the streets upon hearing the news of the 9/11 attacks.



. . . No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day. Strangely, the very "moderate" Muslims who's asses you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo , Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day."



Now, I don't like all the "Kumbaya-We-Are-the-World" tripe Obama spins, his "America-is-Bad-We-Have-So-Much-to-Apologize-For" World Tour, and all his bowing and scraping to foreign potentates, any more than the next conservative . . .

BUT - we must try as hard as we can not to fall into the trap of letting this thing we're involved in become a religious war.

Because IF this war becomes a war against Islam, then we have just LOST. We will have lost because our embracing some kind of modern Crusade against Muslims will mean the other side will have just attained their goal: to turn all the Muslims against us.

Before the current occupiers of the Whitehouse began playing word games, this conflict was known as the Global War on Terrorism, or G-WOT. This was a misnomer; Terrorism is a tactic; we are not at war against "Terrorism" any more than we were at war against Blitzkrieg during World War II. What we are at war against is Islamic Fundamentalism. And while this is a war against Muslim Extremism, this does not equal a war against Islam itself.


THINK ABOUT IT:

We don't want to have to face down all the Muslims; there are simply too many of them. What we WANT to do is to turn all the GOOD Muslims against the BAD Muslims - as long as we achieve this, we are winning. And believe it or not - despite what the left-leaning Mainstream Media would have you believe - we ARE winning.



We are kicking ass against the Muslim terrorists in the Philippines . . .



. . . we are kicking ass against those who harbor the terrorist enemy in Afghanistan . . .



. . . Pakistan . . .



. . . and a thousand places elsewhere and in between!"



Hell! We're so awesome even our WOMEN are kicking ass in this thing!



These are my feelings as a strategist, regarding the religious aspect of this war. My personal spiritual belief is that the ultimate phase of this thing is when we start seeing all the good Muslims becoming Christians - and I believe this phenomenon is taking place - the numbers are difficult to track, but the conversions are happening in numbers large enough to be significant, none the less.

But for the same strategic reasoning that I feel we must resist the temptation to fall into a religious war, I am also against racial profiling.

I'm sure my detractors over at FrumForum will be amazed to learn this; I am constantly being accused of racism, of spreading racist, hate-filled themes here on Blog STORMBRINGER - although to date not a soul has been able to substantiate this; and despite articles I've posted at FF such as keeping the faith with our Muslim allies.

Racial profiling is a flawed tactic. Consider: when the enemy becomes aware we are selective in who we look at, who we search; then they will begin sending blond-haired, blue-eyed terrorists our way: Chechins, Bosnians, anybody? The day we stop searching little old ladies in tennis shoes, they will start send little old lady terrorists our way.

How do they recruit a little old lady to become a suicide bomber? Easy: they go to her house, put a gun to the head of her four-year-old granddaughter, and say, "We're going to kill your granddaughter, but before we do we're going to rape her in every hole - UNLESS you take THIS onto the plane . . ."



BOTTOM LINE:


Racial Profiling = BAD

Religious War = BAD

Maintaining the American Principles of Liberty, Justice and Freedom for All = GOOD



No matter how inconvenient . . .

. . . I also believe that if someone were to back a semi-trailer loaded with live hogs up to the front doors of that new multi-story super mosque they're building downtown Manhattan right next to Ground Zero . . .
