Around SOF

A list of a few of the folks who attended Friday night's annual SOF Ball in Kansas City at the Argosy Casino:

1) The first Medal of Honor recipient of the Vietnam War, Colonel (ret) Roger Donlon

2) One of the last living members the WWII Jedburghs

3) A "White Tiger" SOF operator (predecessor of modern SF) who led Korean partisan forces as they conducted sabotage operations throughout the Korean Peninsula.

4) The youngest SF member of Operation IVORY COAST, more commonly referred to as the Son Tay Raid. The November 1970 POW mission which failed to achieve the predetermined tactical goals, however, achieved strategic results and inspired the willpower of the American POW's in Vietnam who now knew their fellow American Soldiers were actively looking, planning, and moving to recover them.

5) President Dwight D. Eisenhower's great grand-daughter, who chairs "People to People". founded in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower as an organization designed to develop understanding and friendship through educational, cultural and humanitarian activities.

6) Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict (SOLIC).

7) Comedian Darren Carter.
